Economic and business (trade) activities in society have grown very rapidly from time to time, this is of course influenced by the development of internet-based technology known as E-Commerce. The form of economy and business (trade) through E-commerce has its own characteristics, namely the economy and business (trade) that cross provincial, state and inter-state boundaries to inter-continental, with no meeting between business actors (sellers) and consumers (buyers). facilities used via the internet media. On the one hand, this condition is of course very profitable for consumers, because they have many choices (options) to get the goods and services they want, but on the other hand, violations of consumer rights are very vulnerable to exploitation, because of the very distinctive characteristics of e-commerce. Therefore it is very necessary to provide legal protection for consumers in E-Commerce transactions to protect the legal rights and interests of consumers, as well as legal remedies for consumer protection in resolving consumer disputes in E-Commerce buying and selling transactions, either through litigation (court) or non-litigation (outside the court, namely through settlement by means of conciliation, mediation and arbitration).The methodology in this study is normative legal research that focuses on written regulations in the form of bibliographical literature or a library research approach, both of which rely on secondary data sources which include primary legal materials in the form of laws and regulations, norms and secondary legal principles and materials in the form of legal opinions or doctrines or theories obtained from legal literature, results of studies or research results, scientific articles, as well as from the internet or websites that are still relevant to the subject matter.
